Landell de Moura Memorial — an experience you feel with all your senses.
Photo of the Landell de Moura family in 1891, Porto Alegre, Brazil.
The photo was taken at Father Landell’s parents’ home. He is standing in the right corner of the photo, wearing liturgical clothing. His parents, Ignacio José Ferreira de Moura and Sarah Marianna Landell de Moura, are seated in the center of the photo.
What is Father Landell’s connection to Itu?
The man standing behind Sarah in the center of the photo is Edmundo Landell de Moura, Father Landell’s brother. His descendants came to Itu and settled there. The house next to the Memorial, seen through the window on the left, was the home of Isbela Gerth Landell de Moura, married to Sylvio Roberto Landell de Moura, Edmundo’s grandson and Father Landell’s great-nephew. The family still stays in the house next door.
